Krenek Tap Road will be fully closed for most of Thursday between Dartmouth Street and Central Park Lane while contractors install a sewer line. Eastbound traffic should use Dartmouth to access SH 6. The road is expected to reopen by the end of the day. Starting Thursday, Central Park Lane will experience lane closures through Monday, June 22.
Welsh Avenue is closed from Harvey Mitchell Parkway to Nueces Drive through early August for the construction of crosswalks at A&M Consolidated High School. Motorists are encouraged to plan alternate routes.
From Monday through Wednesday, Longmire Drive will have scheduled lane closures and detours between Barron Road and Lakeshore Circle from 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. for pavement repairs. Flaggers will direct traffic on Monday, followed by single-lane closures on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Union Pacific Railroad crews will close the George Bush Drive crossing near Wellborn Road for maintenance work from 6 a.m.-6 p.m. on Sunday. Detours will be in place. NCAA Regional baseball fans heading to Blue Bell Park for the scheduled afternoon game should use alternate routes, such as John Kimbrough Boulevard or Old Main Drive.
Starting Monday, Luther Street will be closed at Marion Pugh Drive for about eight weeks while the City of College Station’s contractor continues waterline construction. The existing closure on Marion Pugh from George Bush Drive to Callaway Villas will remain in place for about six more weeks.
On Monday, the City of College Station will begin work on the second section of rehabilitating William D. Fitch Parkway from northeast of Williams Creek Drive to the Carters Creek bridge. Traffic will alternate one-way with temporary signal lights at each end of the work zone. The work is expected to take about three months.
Starting Wednesday, Lincoln Avenue will be closed from Grand Oaks Circle to University Drive for the final phase of the roadway rehabilitation project. Completion is scheduled for late June. Lincoln will remain open from Grand Oaks to Texas Ave with intermittent, single-lane closures as work on the shared-use paths continues.
The intersection of Stallings Drive and University Oaks is tentatively scheduled to reopen by mid-April after waterline repairs are completed.
Starting Monday at 9 a.m., Graham Road will be closed between Birmingham Road and Dove Crossing Lane for about three weeks while the City’s contractor replaces a concrete storm sewer. Detours will be in place. Graham will also be closed east of Longmire Drive on Monday while crews complete utility work. That section of Graham will reopen Monday evening.
Starting Monday at 8 a.m., traffic on Krenek Tap Road will be one-way from Dartmouth Street to State Highway 6 for about four months as part of the roadway rehabilitation project.
