Temporary lane closure set for Wednesday on Texas Avenue at Hensel Street

On Wednesday, the outside southbound lane of Texas Avenue from Hensel Street to University Drive will be closed from 5 a.m.-7 p.m. as crews repair a water line. Hensel will be fully closed from Texas Avenue to Meadowlands Street. 

One southbound lane on Texas Avenue will remain open to traffic throughout the repair work, scheduled from 5 a.m.-7 p.m.

Due to the roadway restrictions, Texas A&M’s Bus Route 4 (Gig 'Em) will detour through North Point Crossing via Meadowlands Street during the closure period. Passengers using Route 4 can expect minor delays.

Drivers traveling through the affected area are strongly encouraged to exercise caution, stay alert for construction crews, and allow extra time to reach their destinations.
