With National Weather Service heat advisories anticipated Tuesday through Friday, the City of College Station reminds residents to take precautions as temperatures rise. While several park facilities are hosting scheduled Games of Texas events this week, residents needing a dedicated place to cool off indoors during regular business hours are welcome to visit.

Extreme heat index values are expected to reach dangerous levels across the Brazos Valley this week. To help residents escape the excessive heat, City of College Station air-conditioned municipal facilities are open to the public during normal business hours. Residents whose home air conditioning is struggling or who need a temporary break from the outdoors are encouraged to use these public spaces to cool down and hydrate.
