City updates recycling collection days for a limited number of residents

Your Recycling Day May Be Chaging

The City of College Station is updating recycling collection days for a limited number of residents to improve service efficiency and route balance. Between 5,000–6,000 households will be affected by the change. The adjustment helps balance collection routes, improve efficiency, and ensure reliable service. 

New collection days begin May 21–22.

What’s Changing?


Recycling service for some even-week customers will shift days:

  • Thursday even-week customers will move to Friday
  • Friday even-week customers will move to Thursday

No other recycling or garbage service days are impacted.

Who Is Affected?


Only select neighborhoods are included in this change. Residents will receive:

  • A mailed notice
  • Email notification (if enrolled)
  • Updates through the CS Curbside app (if enrolled)
