City Hall, Ringer Library available as cooling places this week

With National Weather Service heat advisories anticipated Tuesday through Friday, the City of College Station reminds residents to take precautions as temperatures rise.

While several park facilities are hosting scheduled Games of Texas events this week, residents needing a dedicated place to cool off indoors during regular business hours are welcome to visit:

• Larry J. Ringer Library | 1818 Harvey Mitchell Pkwy S.
  Mon–Thu: 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. | Fri: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
• City Hall | 1101 Texas Ave. S.
  Mon–Fri: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Please stay safe, check on your neighbors, and remember to limit outdoor activities during peak afternoon hours. If weather conditions elevate to an excessive heat warning, the City will activate additional cooling locations as needed.
