Water line repair to leave Southwood Valley school, nearby homes without water

The City of College Station will be repairing a water line near Southwood Valley Elementary from Wednesday afternoon through Thursday. Water service will be shut off around 4 p.m. to the school and nearby homes in the 2700 block of Brothers Boulevard and the 1300 block of Deacon Drive.

Southwood Valley Elementary will be closed on Thursday. For more information about the school closure and related activities, go to swv.csisd.org.

The City has notified affected residents through door hangers and personal contact. We regret the disruption and appreciate your patience as the Water Services crew makes the necessary repairs.


UPDATE (10/23/7:30 a.m.): Another valve had to be closed, resulting in additional homes being without water on the Cimmaron Court and Mescalero Court cul-de-sacs.


UPDATE (10/23/9:15 p.m.): The repairs to the water line near Southwood Valley Elementary have been completed, and water service has been restored. We appreciate your patience and understanding during the outage. If you notice discolored water, please call dispatch at 855-528-4278. A crew will be sent to flush the nearest hydrant.
