Second section of William D. Fitch Parkway rehabilitation begins Monday

On Monday, the City of College Station will begin work on the second section of rehabilitating William D. Fitch Parkway from northeast of Williams Creek Drive to the Carters Creek bridge. Traffic will alternate one-way with temporary signal lights at each end of the work zone.

The work is expected to take about three months, weather permitting. The third and final section of the project will be from Rock Prairie Road to the first bridge northeast of Williams Creek Drive, beginning in August.

Drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time, seek alternate routes if possible, and remain vigilant when traveling through the work zone.
