Second phase of Fitch Parkway rehab begins Monday

On Monday, the City of College Station will begin Phase 2 of the William D. Fitch Parkway Rehabilitation project from Tonkaway Lake Drive to Rock Prairie Road. The project is expected to take about a year.

The project’s first section, from Tonkaway Lake Drive to the Carter Creek bridge, will take about four months. Crews will work on half the roadway at a time, with traffic temporarily shifted to the opposite side. Two-way traffic will be maintained during work on the first section.

Phase 1 of the project, which rehabilitated Tonkaway to State Highway 30, was completed in November.
