Ribbon cutting for Parks Operations Shop set for Wednesday, Oct. 1

The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the City of College Station's new Parks Operations Shop is on Wednesday, Oct. 1, at 11:30 a.m. at Stephen C. Beachy Central Park. 

Approved by voters in the 2022 bond election, the project was finished ahead of schedule and $3 million under budget. It was approved for $7.4 million but ultimately cost $4.4 million.

The 16,500-square-foot facility comprises a main building and an auxiliary building, featuring secure storage, workshops, and office space for staff members. The shop is located behind the tennis courts, and parking for the ceremony is available in the Parks office lot.
