Ribbon cutting for Bachman Park baseball and soccer buildings set for Friday

The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the City of College Station's new Little League and Senior League baseball and soccer buildings is Friday at 5 p.m. at Brian Bachmann Community Park. 

Approved by voters in the 2022 bond election, the project had a $7.2 million budget. The original restroom and storage buildings were replaced with new facilities featuring expanded restrooms, concessions, and storage, as well as additional seating, dugouts, and spectator protective netting.

The Senior League Fields are named the Bill Whitehead Senior League Fields in memory of Bill Whitehead, who dedicated more than 30 years to College Station Little League as a coach and board member. A plaque honors his legacy.
