Fire Station No. 7 ribbon-cutting ceremony set for Friday

The City of College Station invites the community to the official ribbon-cutting ceremony for Fire Station No. 7 on Friday from 10 a.m.-noon at 2981 Greens Prairie Road.

Station tours begin at 10 a.m., and the ceremony starts at 11. Speakers are Mayor John Nichols, Fire Chief Richard Mann and City Manager Bryan Woods.

Voters approved the station in the 2022 bond election with an $18 million budget. The 18,200-square-foot facility will house 24 firefighters and features four drive-thru bays, 12 dorm rooms, three officer quarters, a full kitchen and dining area, fitness and training rooms, and a community use room.

Parking areas will be designated along Greens Prairie Road. Please carpool, if possible.
