Council examines details of FY 26 proposed budget at Wednesday workshop

The College Station City Council conducted a full day of extensive discussions about the city's FY 26 proposed budget on Wednesday at City Hall.

The proposal was presented to the council at a special meeting on July 7. Outside agency funding requests were presented at the regular council meeting on July 10. Following public hearings on the budget (July 24) and tax rate (Aug. 28), the council is scheduled to adopt the budget on Aug. 28. The new fiscal year begins Oct. 1.
