City to celebrate “The Voice” champ with Aiden Ross Day event on Tuesday
The City of College Station will proclaim “Aiden Ross Day” in honor of “The Voice” champion at a special community celebration at Visit College Station (1207 Texas Ave.) from 6-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 20. Admission and parking are free.
The College Station native was crowned the winner of the 28th season of NBC’s popular series “The Voice” on Dec. 16. He is a 2024 graduate of A&M Consolidated High School and a sophomore industrial distribution engineering major at Texas A&M University.
After receiving proclamations from Mayor John Nichols and State Rep. Paul Dyson, Ross will perform two songs and stay for an informal meet-and-greet session.
Ross began singing with his family as a young child, wrote his first song at 7, and performed in school talent shows. He later joined the A&M Consolidated a capella group, sang in musical productions, and performed in public venues around the College Station/Bryan community.
Ross advanced from auditioning for “The Voice” through the four stages of competition, ultimately prevailing over five other finalists to become “The Voice” champion.
