City of College Station’s Vendor Workshop set for Thursday, Sept. 4, at City Hall
The City of College Station will host a Vendor Training Workshop on Thursday, Sept. 4, from 9 a.m. to noon in the Bush 4141 Community Room at City Hall.
The event will help vendors understand how the City evaluates Invitations to Bid (ITBs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and Requests for Qualifications (RFQs). Purchasing and Capital Improvements staff will be on hand to answer vendors’ questions.
“Submitting proposals and bids can be complex, and we want vendors to feel confident about the process,” said Brandi Whittenton of the City’s Purchasing Division. “We encourage vendors to come prepared with questions about proposal requirements, evaluation criteria, and the overall bidding process. The Q&A sessions are designed to give open access to staff, so vendors leave with the clarity and confidence they need to succeed.”
The workshop will provide detailed information about expectations for professional and construction service submittals and offer guidance on how to make proposals stand out. Vendors are welcome to attend the entire training or the sessions most relevant to their business.
