Amnesty period provides a simple path to pay outstanding warrants, avoid jail

Since the City of College Station began our warrant amnesty and roundup program in 2007, we've cleared over 7,000 warrants valued at over $2 million. The twice-yearly amnesty period has proven to be a win for defendants and our court, as it provides a path for individuals to pay outstanding warrants and avoid jail.

The warrant amnesty period for the City of College Station and Brazos County is Oct. 13-31. Last fall, we cleared 75 warrants valued at almost $20,000.
