Glenn Gavit has been named the director of the City of College Station’s electric utility, City Manager Bryan Woods said Friday. Gavit has served as interim director since Timothy Crabb retired in May and as deputy director since 2024. 

Let the Games begin! The 2025 Texas Amateur Athletic Federation's Summer Games of Texas kicks off Thursday, July 31, and runs through Sunday, Aug. 3, at premier venues across College Station and Bryan.

The Brazos Valley Veterans Memorial Board invites the community to attend the Brazos Valley Veterans Memorial Day observance on Thursday, July 17, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The event will feature open house tours of the 12-acre memorial site at College Station’s Veterans Park and Athletic Complex.
