For two decades, the Starlight Music Series has attracted music lovers for free, family-friendly entertainment under the stars each spring at the Wolf Pen Creek Amphitheater. The tradition continues in 2026 with a trio of Saturday concerts featuring country, classic rock, and Tejano artists. The series opens on April 25, followed by shows on May 30 and June 13.
The worldwide City Nature Challenge, set for April 24–27, invites you to contribute to a shared scientific record. Residents across Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Lee, Madison and Robertson counties are encouraged to document local wildlife using the free iNaturalist app.

College Station is fortunate to witness the spectacular monarch butterfly migration each year. The College Station Parks and Recreation Department invites the community to its annual Monarch March event on Saturday, March 28, from 9 a.m.-noon at the Gary Halter Nature Center.
New playgrounds are coming to Bee Creek and W.A. Tarrow parks after the College Station City Council recently approved nearly $440,000 to replace the heavily used and worn-out equipment. Work is expected to start in late April and be completed by the end of May, weather permitting.
Join College Station Parks and Recreation for Lick Creek Park in the Dark at Gary Halter Nature Center on Friday, March 20, and Friday, April 10. The overnight campouts begin at 6 p.m. and end at 7 a.m. the next morning.
