Police Officer
There are two ways to join our team of professionals as a police officer for the City of College Station Police Department.
TCOLE Certified Police Officer
This posting is offered for experienced officers who are already TCOLE Certified, or have completed a Police Academy and are about to take their TCOLE exam. This option waives the written test and moves qualified candidates into the physical test, and initial interview portion in an effort to provide a quicker response to interested candidates.
Entry Level Police Officer
This posting is typically open twice a year (for Spring and Fall academies) for candidates who are interested in becoming a police officer with the City of College Station and meet the minimum eligibility qualifications. This requires submitting a Personal History Statement, passing our entry level written exam with a score of at least 70, and then passing a physical fitness test. If successful in all stages, selected candidates are hired and admitted into the Police Academy for training and TCOLE certification.
