City of College Station offices will be closed Dec. 22-26 for Christmas and Jan. 1 for New Year’s Day. Solid waste will be collected on the usual schedule, except for Dec. 25-26 and Jan. 1-2. The Thursday routes will be collected on Friday, and the Friday routes on Saturday.
At first, a single pile of pet waste may not seem like a big deal – until you consider that more than 32,000 dogs live in College Station. Our furry friends produce a staggering 24,000 pounds of waste daily. That’s not just a nuisance – it’s a serious environmental and public health concern.
In this week's episode of "What's Up, College Station?", Capt. Stuart Marrs from the College Station Fire Department discusses the daily lives of firefighters, tips for keeping your family safe during the holidays, and how College Station has evolved over the years.
