In this week’s episode of “What’s Up, College Station?“ Capt. Stuart Marrs and Community Outreach Specialist Harlei Struck of the College Station Fire Department discuss their efforts to educate the community about fire safety and explain why running cool water over minor burns is more effective than using ice.
College Station-Bryan is ranked No. 28 nationally and No. 3 in Texas on the Milken Institute's annual list of the nation's best-performing large cities. The rankings are based on 13 indicators that reflect a metropolitan area's capacity to sustain strong labor market growth, maintain high living standards, and encourage innovation.
In case you missed it: At its Jan. 22 meeting, the College Station City Council received an annual update from the Water Services Department, including an overview of operations, key priorities, planned actions, and water conservation initiatives.
