Commercial Services

Commercial entities alongside Solid Waste’s Administration will aid in the selection of container size, number of containers, and number of service days per week; 1-6 service days based on waste generation of the intended business activity.

The City provides and maintains standard 4-yd and 8-yd dumpsters for business and commercial entities. An entity opting to utilize compacting dumpsters or self-contained compactor units do so at their own risk and the city is not liable for damage to such containers during the collection process.

The City does not provide recycling services for commercial entities. Commercial entities are authorized to utilize private recycling services from the Franchised Haulers List.

Commercial entities to do not receive routed, weekly bulk or brush collections. The following items are prohibited from being placed inside city-issued containers:

  • Appliances
  • BRUSH
  • BULK
  • Construction and demolition debris
  • Hazardous waste

If any of these items are accidentally collected, an unprepared solid waste fee will be applied to the entity's utility account.

No sharps, liquids or glass.

Medical sharps pose a SEVERE HEALTH RISK to collection and and processing crews if not disposed of properly. Medical sharps must be contained in an empty sharps container, coffee can, or laundry detergent bottle, and the container must be taped shut. This can then be disposed of in your regular garbage container, not for bulky collection. Do not place sharps directly into a garbage bag or container.
