Tenant Based Housing Assistance

The City of College Station Community Development Division administers a Tenant-Based Rental Assistance (TBRA) program that provides security deposit assistance to eligible individuals and families.  In partnership with the Brazos Valley Council of Governments (BVCOG) Housing Choice Voucher Program, the Security Deposit Program helps low-income households obtain safe, decent, and sanitary housing by covering the upfront security deposit costs required to secure a rental unit. By reducing a significant barrier to housing access, the program supports housing stability and helps prevent homelessness among low- and moderate-income residents in College Station.
