Park Curfews


Neighborhood Parks: 
11 p.m.–5 a.m.
Community Parks: 1–5 a.m.

General Rules

 

  • No tents or RV camping without prior approval from park staff.

  • All wildlife is protected.

  • Vehicles must park in designated paved areas only. Off-road vehicles are not allowed.

  • Non-city advertising is prohibited unless approved by contract. Anyone wishing to sell items (food, drinks, shirts, caps, etc.) or solicit from park patrons must apply for a Park Vendor Permit through the Parks and Recreation Office and may also need a Health Permit from the Brazos County Health Department.

  • Gyms, boot camps and fitness groups must purchase a Park Vendor Permit through the Parks and Recreation Office to host workout sessions in city parks.

  • Alcohol may be consumed by adults 21 and older. Alcohol or any other items may not be sold without a TABC license.

  • Fishing in park ponds is free and open to the public. Texas Community Fishing Lake and state regulations apply. Contact Texas Parks and Wildlife for regulations, license information and daily bag limits.

  • No pony rides, sidewalk chalk, crawfish boils or bounce houses without prior approval.

  • Obey all “Fields Closed” signs. Field status is updated daily at cstx.gov/FieldStatus.

Prohibited in All Parks

 

  • Glass bottles or containers

  • Cutting, digging or destroying vegetation

  • Wading or swimming in park ponds

  • Littering

  • Campfires

  • Livestock

  • Hot air balloons

  • Dunking booths

  • Confetti or glitter

  • Golf, including practice driving or hitting balls

  • Feeding ducks and waterfowl

Rented Spaces

 

  • Pavilions may be used if not rented, but kitchen and restroom access is not allowed.

  • Athletic fields must be reserved separately from pavilion rentals.

  • Courts (tennis, pickleball, basketball and sand volleyball) are open on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be reserved.

  • Renters must follow all guidelines outlined in their rental agreement.
