Budget and Finance

Fiscal Services is responsible for management of the city's funds and includes the following divisions: Fiscal Administration and Treasury, Budget, Purchasing, Accounting, Municipal Court, and Utility Customer Service.

The Fiscal Services Department provides effective and efficient financial management services to internal and external customers. We promote and support fiscal responsibility through education and training, asset protection, accurate record keeping and reporting, reduced risks, quality purchasing practices and sound cash management through short and long range budget, financial, and strategic planning.

Financial Public Engagement

We are looking for some public input on priorities as well and are offering citizens the opportunity to use the exact same tool that the Council did to rank their priorities.

https://polco.us/n/res/vote/college-station-texas/public-cip-prioritization

The tool is easy to use with only a few steps.

  • First – select your top ten priorities on the left hand side of the screen by just checking the box.  The dollar amounts listed are only a relative gauge, not the exact project cost.   The (i) icon will provide a little more data about some of the projects.  But remember, these are high level, not detailed plans at this point.
  • Second – drag and drop your items selected into a 1-10 order with your top priority at the top.
  • Third – Submit your ranking on the tool.

That’s all it takes to have your voice heard!  Any questions, email Mary Ellen Leonard, CPA, Director of Fiscal Services at mleonard@cstx.gov.
