Fire Marshal
The Fire Marshal's Office performs pre-construction site reviews and inspections, fire alarm and sprinkler systems plan review, inspection and testing, fire safety inspections for commercial occupancies (as well as daycare centers, foster homes, and health care facilities), and fire cause investigations. Criteria for all reviews and inspections are based upon the 2021 International Fire Code, the Unified Development Ordinance, and adopted amendments.
System Impairment / Annual Inspection Reporting
In accordance with Texas Administrative Code 34.600 and 34.700, all Red and Yellow tags must be reported to the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
The College Station Fire Marshal’s Office uses The Compliance Engine by Brycer for all system impairments, annual fire protection system testing, and Red/Yellow Tag reporting. Service providers are required to submit all test and inspection reports through this platform to ensure timely review and compliance tracking.
