    Cart Tags & Door Hangers
Solid Waste staff communicates with customers in a variety of ways. Here are methods we use and what the messages mean:

No Service. Collections may not have been possible for several reasons as indicated on the cart sticker. Please follow our collection guidelines (link SW&Recycling Guide).

Brush & Bulk Notice. Collections may not have been possible for several reasons as indicated on the door tag. Please follow our collection guidelines (link SW&Recycling Guide).

Out By 8, Don’t Be Late. Customer reminder that carts and items must be placed at the curbline by 8am on assigned collection days.

Additional Solid Waste Cart. We’ve noticed continued overflow in waste outside of city-assigned cart or continued contamination in assigned recycling carts. To avoid contamination fees as well as health and safety violations, the customer may need an additional cart due to increased waste generation.

Freon Containing Appliances. Solid Waste will not collect appliances with freon units unless the unit has been removed by a certified extractor and the appliance has a certified tag.
    Do-It-Yourself Disposal

Residential customers need their ID with their address and a copy of their utility bill that shows they are paying for garbage services (single-family homes/duplex rate).  If they do not have a copy of their utility bill with them, Twin Oaks staff can refer to the list that is provided by CSU.

Please note, Twin Oaks charges special fees for tires, freon-containing appliances, load assistance, etc.  Those fees are not covered by the "College Station Bill Account 32" so residents will be responsible for those out-of-pocket fees.

This service type includes (2) collection days per week for city-provided containers.

- Interiors of enclosures as well as the base of containers should be free and clear of any debris, excess household waste, or bulk items, to avoid skipped service.

- Lids should remain closed to deter vectors.

*Sec.40-391. – Commercial Collection.
