SPEAKER PROTOCOL
An individual who wishes to address the Bicycle, Pedestrian & Greenways Advisory Board regarding any item on the Regular Agenda must register with the Planning & Development Service's Department prior to 12:00 p.m. on the day of the meeting. To register, the individual must provide a name and a phone number by calling 979-764-5044 or emailing [email protected].
The Board Secretary will provide the names of citizens who have registered to speak on each item to the Chairman. Once in the virtual meeting:
• Citizens will be asked to change their “zoom name” to their first and last name so that they may be recognized and called upon to speak during the items registered for.
• Citizens calling in by telephone will need to have the Board Secretary change their “zoom name” so that they may be recognized and called upon to speak during the items registered for.
• Citizens will be asked to turn on their video when speaking to the Board.
• As the Chairman calls the name of the next to speak, the speaker will be unmuted.
Upon being called upon to speak, an individual must state their name and city of residence, including the state of residence if the city is located out of state. Speakers are encouraged to identify their College Station neighborhood or geographic location. Each speaker's remarks are limited to three (3) minutes. Any speakers addressing the Board through the use of a translator may speak for six (6) minutes. At the three (3) minute mark, the Board Secretary will announce that the speaker must conclude their remarks.
