College Station athletics encourages and promotes healthy families and communities by placing a priority on involvement, teamwork and healthy competition. We offer a wide variety of sports leagues and instructional classes throughout the year for all ages and abilities, from recreational to competitive.

Parents and friends of youth athletes are encouraged to be more than mere spectators, by contributing their time as volunteer coaches.

    Participants develop athleticism through speed and agility training in a positive environment. Coaches emphasize conditioning, footwork, strength, and the formation of positive attitudes.

    FUNDAMENTAL FIELD HOCKEY • REGISTRATION: DEC. 11-MARCH 18
    FUNdamental Field Hockey introduces participants to the game by engaging them in core concepts, rules, skills, and strategy. A former college player with high school and college-level coaching experience teaches the eight-week program. Equipment is provided, cleats and shin guards are recommended, and mouth guards are required.

    EMPOWER RUN CLUB • REGISTRATION: DEC. 11-MARCH 18
    The enrichment running club for children focuses on teaching powerful life lessons. The program caters to all fitness levels by incorporating traditional drills and games to empower children by developing character. Participants engage in a productive workout, building both strength and self-confidence. They also can compete, pursue goals, and enjoy themselves.

    INTRODUCTION TO RUGBY • REGISTRATION: DEC. 11-MARCH 20
    Learn the rules, style, and proper strategy in this introduction to rugby sevens. Collegiate-level rugby players provide instruction with years of experience. Participants will gain knowledge and understanding of the sport by learning techniques safely.

    Junior Beginner is a fun introduction to tennis. Beginners learn the basics of the forehand, backhand, serve, and volley in a fast-paced, interactive environment. The last session is a game night with a chance to win prizes.

    The Intermediate Tennis program is for players with previous instruction on basic strokes by a tennis professional. Players focus on static and live-ball drills for singles and doubles play. The last session is a game night with a chance to win prizes.

    HIGH-PERFORMANCE TENNIS ACADEMY • REGISTRATION: DEC. 11-MARCH 21
    The academy is for players with previous instruction on basic strokes by a tennis professional interested in tournaments or leagues. Each session enhances technical, strategic, and physical capabilities through live-ball drills, match play, and conditioning.

    ADULT PROGRAMS
    SOFTBALL LEAGUE • REGISTRATION: DEC. 11-FEB. 9 • Late Registration ($20 late fee): Feb. 10-16
    Men's and co-ed divisions are offered in the spring, summer, and fall. Nights of play are determined by registered division. Co-ed teams consist of at least four females and six males with a maximum roster of 20 players.

    KICKBALL LEAGUE • REGISTRATION: DEC. 11-FEB. 9 • Late Registration ($20 late fee): Feb. 10-16
    Teams have 10-20 players with a minimum roster of four females and six males. The league uses an 8½-inch kickball.

    ULTIMATE FRISBEE LEAGUE • REGISTRATION: DEC. 11-MARCH 1
    BCS Ultimate runs the coed league. Individual or team registration is available, and team rosters may include up to 12 players. Teams field five men and two women at a time. Each team plays two games per night, with the first game starting at 6:30 p.m. Games are played on a 70x40-yard field and follow USA Ultimate rules. Individuals participate in an evaluation night, followed by a draft.

    VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE • REGISTRATION: DEC. 11-MARCH 1 • Late Registration ($20 late fee): March 2-8

    Coed volleyball divisions are offered in the fall and spring. Teams may choose to play on Tuesday or Thursday nights, and no more than three men or four women can be on the court per team. Teams are assigned a division based on the registration questionnaire and previous league performance.

    BASKETBALL LEAGUE • REGISTRATION: DEC. 11-MARCH 8
    Teams play at least eight games through a round-robin style of league play. Games consist of two 20-minute halves. Each team may have up to 12 players.

    ROUND-ROBIN TENNIS LEAGUE • REGISTRATION: DEC. 11-MARCH 21
    The league is for adults comfortable with match play and interested in competing in a lively social setting. Players are guaranteed a doubles set (six-game, no-ad scoring) and single set (six-game, no-ad scoring) each week in a round-robin format, allowing competitors to face new opponents constantly.

    BEGINNER TENNIS • REGISTRATION: DEC. 11-MARCH 21
    The class is a fun, active introduction to tennis. Players learn basic tennis strokes, scoring, and strategy. Participants also engage in games throughout each session to increase their enjoyment.

    The intermediate program is for players with previous instruction from a tennis professional on basic tennis strokes. Players focus on static and live-ball drills for singles and doubles play with a review of fundamentals for increased consistency. Point simulation and strategy are emphasized.
