As Gov. Greg Abbott continues his phases to open Texas, we have been making plans for reopening spaces, facilities, and programs impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Click here for a look at openings, closures, and cancellations.

For your convenience, here are some answers to your most frequently asked questions:
    When will the full-day summer camp open?
    The summer camp has been canceled due to strict CDC guidelines regarding group sizes, activity restrictions, social distancing, sanitization, and staffing requirements. At this time, we are planning to offer the after-school program, beginning Aug. 13. 
    When will senior adult programming resume?
    Senior programming won’t resume until the fall. People 65 years and older and those who live in nursing homes or long-term care facilities are encouraged to stay home as much as possible.
    When will the splash pad open?
    We will decide at the end of July regarding the possibility of opening splash pads. 
    Are you accepting facility rentals?
    We are not accepting rentals at this time. Depending on protocols and governor’s orders, the Lincoln Recreation Center could open for rentals Aug. 17. We’ll decide at the end of July.

The Lincoln Recreation Center offers a wide variety of amenities and services aimed at improving the quality of life of College Station residents. Residents can take advantage of services in the areas of youth programming, senior services, special events, and community outreach. The facility includes two gymnasiums, game room, fitness room, multipurpose rooms, splash pad, and a 13,000 square foot covered pavilion. 


Originally constructed as the A&M Consolidated Negro School, the Lincoln Center is located at 1000 Eleanor in W.A. Tarrow Park. The facility has been used at one time or another as a neighborhood center, recreation center, senior citizen's center, maintenance shop, and was formerly the headquarters for the College Station Parks and Recreation Department. The center now provides a variety of recreational and social services to the citizens of College Station.
