The Southwood Community Center is located in the Brian Bachmann Community Park and includes a meeting room, game room, computer lab, kitchen with an ice machine, a big-screen television, stereo equipment and more. The center is right next to the G. Hysmith Skate Park, Cindy Hallaran swimming pool, Bachmann Pavilion, six baseball fields and two athletic fields.
SENIOR ADULT PROGRAMS
Older adults in College Station have long sought a comfortable place to socialize and engage in activities and programs designed specifically for them. The Southwood Community Center is now that place from 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. during the week and 1-4 p.m. on Saturday. Special activities and groups include dominoes, bridge, Mah Jongg, Forevercise, Sit & Fit, computer classes, movies and a lending library. For more information on these activities click here
WATERCOLOR I • REGISTRATION REQUIRED
This beginner’s class focuses on basic painting tools, materials, techniques, composition and color theory. Supplies will be discussed during the first class. Basic drawing skills are needed.

The Southwood Community Center is a great choice for your next birthday party, dance, family reunion or corporate meeting. It includes a meeting room, game room, and a kitchen with an ice machine. Tables and chairs are furnish for your rental. Alcohol and smoking are not allowed at this facility. Food is not allowed in the meeting room. GAME ROOM

Deposits are refundable if the facility is left clean and damage-free. All rental rates are based on a party of 1-25 people. Additional fees are added per hour for more than 25 attendees. Any rental expecting more than 100 attendees must have prior approval.
