National Weather Service Updates

City offices will remain closed today because of significant rain and 60+ mph wind gusts.

Public safety, public works, utilities, solid waste, and many other employees continue to work through the storm.
 
Due to the budget process timeline, today's City Council Special Meeting about the FY 25 budget remains scheduled for 4 p.m. at City Hall, but conditions will continue to be evaluated. The meeting will be streamed live on Optimum Channel 19 and at cstx.gov/cstv19.

We expect to resume normal business hours on Tuesday.

Solid waste collections are underway.


Monday, July 8 (5:30 a.m.)

City offices will be closed Monday until further notice.

Solid waste collections will be delayed and could be postponed.

The status of the city council special meeting at 4 p.m. will be evaluated and announced later today.

City crews have pre-staged equipment and cleaned out stormwater systems.

Emergency crews are on standby for utilities and other events.

Please avoid unnecessary travel.


Sunday, July 7 (4 p.m.)

As of Sunday afternoon, city offices will be open Monday, and solid waste collection will operate on the usual schedule.

However, all Parks and Recreation camps and programs have been canceled.

Monday’s City Council special meeting at 4 p.m. also remains scheduled.

We are closely monitoring the weather and will provide updates as needed.

City crews have pre-staged equipment and cleaned out stormwater systems.
