CITIZENS UNIVERSITY

Citizens University is a free program run by the City of College Station to promote community engagement and involvement. For eight weeks, we invite different departments around the City to come and speak to participants – allowing them the opportunity to engage with the people who build the budgets, construct the projects, plan for growth, and keep the lights on and neighborhoods safe.

This year, Citizen’s University is expanding its program to include a program designed for high school students. As such, there will be two programs – running concurrently – but held separately.

For high school students - Citizen’s University will occur for four weeks, running from February 5, 2024 to March 5, 2024. Each session – with exception to the Graduation Ceremony on March 5th will take place from 4:30pm to 6:00pm. The Graduation Ceremony – taking place on March 5th – will take place from 6:30pm to 8pm.

For adults – Citizen’s University will occur for eight weeks, running from January 16, 2024 to the Graduation Ceremony on March 5, 2024.
