Many of the streets in the Southside neighborhood prohibit parking on one side of the street so that emergency vehicles (especially large fire trucks and ambulances) can respond if needed.
For these life-safety reasons, our Community Enhancement Unit works in this area on football gamedays to ensure emergency response capabilities.
The most common reason vehicles are towed on gamedays are for parking in a signed NO PARKING zone. Please pay attention to these signs!
Other towing-enforced violations include parking within 15 feet of a fire hydrant, parking within 30 feet of a stop sign, blocking a driveway (when the owner requests enforcement), and parking in an intersection.
