The Southwood Community Center is a multi-generational facility that offers a variety of enriching, leisure and recreational programs. The facility includes a 600 square foot meeting room and a 1,000 square foot party room to rent for your next event. 
    RENTAL INFORMATION
    FACILITY RENTALS
    Fees are per hour with a $200 deposit. Tables and chairs are furnish for your rental. Alcohol and smoking are not allowed at this facility. Food is not allowed in the meeting room.

    Non-Resident - $66
    Resident - $55

    PARTY ROOM
    Non-Resident - $90
    Resident - $75

    RENTALS DETAILS
    Rentals are on a first-come, first-served basis and will not be held without proper documentation and fees. Reservations can be made by calling 979.764.6351 or by visiting the Southwood Community Center, Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Cash, credit card or check accepted. Checks should be made payable to “City of College Station.”

    DEPOSITS
    A security deposit is required for rentals. Portions or all of the deposit will be forfeited if damage, extra maintenance, or extraordinary cleanup occurs as a result of rental. Deposits will be refunded on the following conditions: (1) terms of your rental have been met, (2) facilities are left in good condition, or (3) cancellation procedures have been followed.

    CANCELLATION & REFUNDS
    Customers must cancel three days prior to the rental date to be eligible for a refund. If a cancellation is made fewer than three days prior to rental date, deposits will be forfeited. Refunds are processed within 30 days of request by check. No cash refunds will be issued.
    COVID-19 RESPONSE
    The Parks & Recreation Department will adhere to federal, state, city, and county guidelines to help avoid exposure and transmission of COVID-19 at events, programs, and facilities. Anyone experiencing flu-like symptoms with a temperature above 99.5 F degrees, or has come in contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19, is prohibited from participating or attending events or programs. Participants must acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that you or your children may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 through participation and that such exposure or infection may result in injury, illness, permanent disability, or death. The risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of yourself or others, including, but not limited to, city employees, volunteers, and program participants and their families.

    COVID-19 REFUND NOTICE
    Due to the evolving and fluid nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, our department will continually evaluate the safety and compliance of our programs. As federal, state and local mandates adapt, our programs may be affected. Once a program has started, no refund will be given since many of our expenses are in the initial planning and implementation stages. Every effort will be made to complete the program.
    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
    WHEN WILL ADULT & SENIOR PROGRAMMING RESUME?
    Adult and senior programming won’t resume until the spring. People 65 years and older and those who live in nursing homes or long-term care facilities are encouraged to stay home as much as possible.

    ARE YOU ACCEPTING FACILITY RENTALS?
    We will start accepting rentals on Monday, Aug. 17.
