Citizens Fire Academy

Citizens Fire Academy is a free program that focuses on the day-to-day operations of the College Station Fire Department. The academy is offered each spring and meets on Tuesday evenings from 6:30–9:30 p.m., plus a Saturday session that features a live fire exercise.

Our 2025 Citizens Fire Academy applications are now open!

We will be accepting applications now through January 2, 2025. Each class will gather on Tuesday nights from approximately 6:30-9:30 p.m., except for our 1 Saturday class that will gather from approximately 8 a.m.-12 p.m. The first night of class will be January 28, and the last night will be April 22. We will not gather for class on March 11 to coincide with the week that CSISD schools will have off for spring break. Additional details (including class schedule) and notice of application status will be sent out via email at a later date!

Participants must be at least 18 years old AND live or work in the Brazos Valley.
