    ORDINANCE CALLING THE ELECTION
    These ordinances contain the proposed language for three charter amendments.

    NOTICE OF DRAWING FOR PLACE ON BALLOT

    ELIGIBILITY
    A candidate must be at least 18 years old on the first day of the term to be filled at the election, U.S. citizen, qualified Texas voter, and a College Station resident for at least one year prior to Election Day.

    GENERAL ELECTION
    The next General Election for Council members Place 4 and 6 will be on Nov. 2, 2021 at 25 polling locations.

    CANDIDATES FOR OFFICE
    Filing for a place on the ballot for the General Election is set by state statute and will run from July 17 - Aug. 16, 2021. Candidate packets are available in the City Secretary's Office.

    GENERAL AND SPECIAL RUNOFF ELECTION
    The next General Election for Council members Place 1, 3, and 5 will be on Nov. 3, 2020 at 25 polling locations.

    Due to COVID-19, the City of College Station canceled the Special Runoff Election to fill Place-4 on the City Council.  On July 23, 2020 the City Council ordered the Special Runoff Election to be held on Nov. 3.

    Filing for a place on the ballot for the General Election is set by state statute and will run from July 18 - Aug. 17, 2020.  Candidate packets are available in the City Secretary's Office.

    General Election on November 1, 2022
    The next General Election for Mayor and Councilmembers Place 1 and 2 will be on November 1, 2022, at 25 polling locations which can be found at Brazos Votes. Filing for a place on the ballot is set by state statute and will run from July 16 - August 15, 2022. To find additional election-related dates and information at https://www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/candidates/index.shtml (posted in accordance with TX. Legis. H.B. 305, effective September 1, 2019).
