Under general administrative direction, is responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing the activities and operations of the Electric Utilities Department; negotiating and contracting for power supply related contracts including Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs); managing the electrical transmission and distribution, electrical substation and metering, utility administration, engineering/design, operational technology, compliance, and utility operations divisions; and serving as a member of the City’s Management Team, working collaboratively with City Management and other department leaders on strategies and policies to accomplish the City’s mission, strategic plan and other Council priorities.
