Public Meeting Instructions

Public Hearings will be held in the City Hall Council Chambers located at 1101 Texas Avenue, College Station, Texas, or may be conducted by telephone or video conference to advance the public health goal of limiting face-to-face meetings during the current Emergency Declaration issued by the Office of the Governor

In the event that the Planning & Zoning Commission and / or City Council meetings are to be conducted via virtual platform, instructions to access the meeting, speaker protocol, and an electronic copy of the agenda packet will be available 72 hours prior to the hearing. Members of the public are entitled to participate and address the governmental body during any telephonic or video conference meeting.

October 19, 2020 Bicycle, Pedestrian and Greenways Advisory Board

The Bicycle, Pedestrian and Greenways Advisory Board meeting will be conducted via virtual platform. Instructions to access the meeting and an electronic copy of the agenda packet will be available 72 hours prior to the meeting.

Agenda Packets will be available 72 hours prior to the meeting. 

Speaker Protocol
An individual who wishes to address the Advisory Board regarding any item on the Regular Agenda must register with the Planning & Development Service`s Department prior to 1:00 p.m. on the day of the meeting. To register, the individual must provide a name and a phone number by calling 979-764-3570 or emailing rmacias@cstx.gov. 

The Commission Secretary will provide the names of citizens who have registered to speak on each item to the Chairman. Once in the virtual meeting:
o Citizens will be asked to change their “zoom name” to their first and last name so that they may be recognized and called upon to speak during the items registered for.
o Citizens calling in by telephone will need to have the Commission Secretary change their “zoom name” so that they may be recognized and called upon to speak during the items registered for. 
o Citizens will be asked to turn on their video when speaking to the Commission. 
o As the Chairman calls the name of the next to speak, the speaker will be unmuted.

Upon being called upon to speak, an individual must state their name and city of residence, including the state of residence if the city is located out of state. Speakers are encouraged to identify their College Station neighborhood or geographic location. Each speaker's remarks are limited to three (3) minutes. Any speakers addressing the Commission through the use of a translator may speak for six (6) minutes. At the three (3) minute mark, the Commission Secretary will announce that the speaker must conclude their remarks.
