The
College Station Fire Department (CSFD) is a fully paid, career department staffing five engines, one quint, two ladders, one ARFF vehicle, four Mobile Intensive Care Unit capable ambulances, and one command vehicle from six stations.
There are 166 personnel assigned to the three shifts, with minimum staffing daily at 41 personnel. Shift personnel work a 24-hour shift with 48 hours off between shifts, for an average of 56 hours worked each week. Shift change occurs at 0700 hours each day.
The department provides fire suppression, emergency medical response and transport, and special operations response to College Station city limits and Texas A&M University.
