Police Officer

There are two ways to join our team of professionals as a police officer for the City of College Station Police Department. Please check for current openings, as these may change throughout the year. You may also fill out a job interest card to be notified as jobs are posted.


This posting is offered for experienced officers who are already TCOLE Certified, or have completed a Police Academy and are about to take their TCOLE exam. This option waives the written test and moves qualified candidates into the physical test, and initial interview portion in an effort to provide a quicker response to interested candidates.


This posting is typically posted twice a year (spring and late summer) for candidates who are interested in becoming a police officer with the City of College Station, and meet the minimum qualifications for eligibility. This requires submitting a Personal History Statement, passing our entry level written exam with a score of 70, then progressing onto the physical test. If successful in all stages, selected candidates are hired and admitted into the Police Academy for training and TCOLE certification.
