LED Lighting Rebate

Last item for navigation
Lighting costs in your home can account for about 15% of your electric bill each month. Energy conscious use helps but instead of just switching off, switching to a more efficient light source can be most beneficial.

Light Emitting Diode lamps (LEDs) can reduce lighting costs by as much as 75% without reducing your lighting output. By reducing your lighting load you not only save money on lighting costs but by reducing heat gain. LED lights produce less heat than the standard incandescent lights thus reducing unwanted summer heat gain in your home that puts additional strain on your air conditioner.

The College Station Utilities Residential Light Emitting Diode Lighting Program is available to CSU residential electric customers for the purchase of LED lights. CSU will credit your electrical account $2 for the replacement with an LED up to a maximum of $20 rebate per customer during any 12-month period. In order to see the most benefits, it is recommended that you replace those lights that are most used in your home first and begin to replace others as they go out.

To receive your rebate, simply clip and complete the Residential LED Lighting Rebate Form and mail along with your purchase receipt with your utility payment or mail to:
