The City of College Station is conducting a study of the east side of College Station. The City has hired Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., a consulting firm, and formed an Advisory Committee to complete a mobility study of the east side of College Station. The study area (shown on the map below) is bounded by State Highway 6 on the west, Carter's Creek on the east, State Highway 30 (Harvey Road) on the north, and Alum Creek (including the State Highway 6 / Nantucket interchange) on the south side.
The purpose of the study is to enhance the existing Thoroughfare Plan. This will be achieved by: § Generating study goals and objective from the Advisory Committee and Citizens; § Creating two Thoroughfare Plan alternatives based upon Advisory Committee and Citizen input; and § Testing these two alternative plans versus the currently adopted Thoroughfare Plan to create a prefered Thoroughfare Plan that best meets the goals and objectives of the Study.
