FEES POLICY STATEMENT
The citizens of College Station have made a commitment to excellence in parks facilities and recreation programs. These facilities and services require substantial expenditures by the City to ensure appropriate maintenance and effective programming. This policy is intended to insure that a proportion of these costs is recovered through user fees in an equitable manner in accordance with the City's current fiscal and budgetary policies approved by the City Council.
NAMING A PARK
This policy is intended to serve as an outline for individuals or organizations seeking to name City of College Station parks and recreation facilities. This policy is not meant to be all-encompassing, but a helpful guide to make the process more fluid and practical. Each request has unique characteristics and must be addressed as such. This policy attempts to outline the minimum naming requirements as reflected by previous Parks and Recreation Advisory Board decisions and discussions. It may be necessary to supplement, as required, more detailed criteria for this process.
In a recent review of the Park Bucks Program, it was determined that the program would be discontinued effective April 22, 2012. We are no longer able to issue additional Park Bucks. Any Parks Bucks that customers may hold dated 2013, remain valid through December 31, 2013 for use in enrollment in one of our youth athletic or instruction programs. After that date, Park Bucks will no longer be accepted at any of our locations (Southwood Community Center, Lincoln Recreation Center, College Station swimming pools, etc.).
