AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMS

LINCOLN RECREATION CENTER

With guidance from well-trained staff, ages 6-15 can engage in games, sports, arts and crafts, and have time to work on homework. Transportation is provided from South Knoll, College Hills, Rock Prairie, Southwood Valley, Oakwood Intermediate and A&M Consolidated Middle School for those that have paid the appropriate semester fee and signed waiver.


YOUTH PROGRAMS

KIDS OKINAWAN KARATE • REGISTRATION REQUIRED 
Martial arts helps develop discipline, self-defense skills, and proper judgement regarding when skills are used. This non-contact training program emphasizes the traditions of Karate-Do (the way of karate). The instructor, Chiyo Spaulding, is an AAU National Champion and has been teaching martial arts to children for the past 15 years. She has produced several nationally ranked competitors. Parents are welcome to enroll with children.

MINDS OF CHAMPIONS • REGISTRATION REQUIRED
The Minds of Champions is a vocal class that will raise your child’s confidence and remove their fear of performing in front of an audience. Our award-winning instructor has former students who have performed with Grammy Award winners Kirk Franklin and Donald Lawrence, as well has acted in New York.

*NEW* TEEN NIGHTS AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM • REGISTRATION REQUIRED
A fun, safe place for teenagers to hang out with their friends after school every Wednesday. Free programs include tutoring/homework assistance, board games, sports, foosball, pool, video games and more! Computers and free Wi-Fi available. Each month will have a special theme. Register today at the Lincoln Recreation Center, 1000 Eleanor St.

BIG & LITTLE YOGA •  • REGISTRATION REQUIRED
Bring your little one out for a yoga session designed for toddlers and their caretaker. Classes will be held inside. On-site registration available by credit card only.

WEB DESIGN I REGISTRATION ENDS JUNE 1
Have you wanted to create a website? Now you can through our fun and engaging web design class. No prior programming or HTML experience needed. Learn the building blocks of web design with hands-on teaching that includes creative “techtivities”. Finish the week with your very own website.

SUMMER LUAU
Hula on over for our luau! There will be food, music and games. Hawaiian-themed items will be given out, but we encourage you to wear your Hawaiian shirts and hula skirts
