REGISTRATION

Kids 1 Mile Fun Run & 5K Run/Walk

The excitement is building in College Station for Texas Weekend of Remembrance set for May 24-26, 2019 at Veterans Park & Athletic Complex. We invite military members, veterans, their families, and everyone who would like to honor those who sacrificed their lives in service to our country. Our goal is to set a new standard for commemoration events that honor our fallen military men and women.

Admission is free. Concessions will be available for purchase. No outside food, drinks or pets are allowed. You may bring plastic water bottles and lawn chairs. Parking is available at Veterans Park & Athletic Complex.


FRIDAY, MAY 24 

TEXAS YOUTH 7v7 STATE CHAMPIONSHIP • 9 a.m.-5 p.m. 

BRAZOS VALLEY VETERANS MEMORIAL STATUE DEDICATIONS • 10-11 a.m.

LONE STAR SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT • 12-7 p.m.

SATURDAY, MAY 25

REMEMBRANCE CEREMONY • 6:30-7:30 p.m.
    • Brazos Valley Patriot Guard Riders Procession
    • Presentation of Colors by the American Legion Color Guard

    • Roll Call of Conflicts read by TSgt Segundo DeGuzman
    • Ship Bell provided by Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 937
    • Welcome Remarks by Brig. Gen. Joe E. Ramirez, Jr. ’79, USA (Ret.)
    • Keynote Address by Gold Star Family Marykay and Bill Edwards
    • Amazing Grace performed by James McNeely, Jason Neuendorff & Leon Moore
    • Rifle Salute by The Ross Volunteers
    • Taps performed by the Texas Aggie Band bugler

FOOD VENDORS • 7:30-11:30 p.m.
Vendors will be donating a portion of all sales to the Texas A&M University Veterans Resource Center to assist with scholarships.

    • $10/child, shirts will be provided.
    • Guardians can run alongside their children at no cost.
