The Lincoln Recreation Center offers programs for adults Mon.-Thu. from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. and Fri., 9 a.m.-6 p.m. This is the place to meet new friends, workout in our fitness center, enjoy indoor gym play and participate in special programs.

FITNESS CENTER
Center is equipped with cardio machines, a weight-training circuit, single-station machines and a complete range of free-weight equipment including benches, barbells and dumbbells.

OPEN GYM
Practice your basketball skills, meet friends and stay active. No reservations are necessary or accepted. Courts are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Call for additional availability.

PICKLEBALL
Pickleball is the new craze in leisure activities! It’s a fun and energizing sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong.

FINANCIAL LITERACY CERTIFICATE
A four-week financial literacy certificate training, in partnership with the United Way of the Brazos Valley. We will be opening Habitat's financial training workshops to the public on important topics like household budgeting, avoiding financial pitfalls, repairing your credit and debt management. This course is recommended for anyone interested in qualifying for the Habitat Homebuyer Program or who just want training on how to better manage their finances and credit. Registration will take place at the first class on Sept. 6.

WEB DESIGN • REGISTRATION REQUIRED
Participants will learn how to build a website from a web designer with more than 15 years of experience. You’ll complete the program with your own website. No prior programming or HTML experience needed.

GET JIGGY WITH IT BODY JAM REGISTRATION REQUIRED
An upbeat, fast-paced workout to get the heart pumping and body moving. Class combines dance moves with strengthening exercise.

WERK’ IT WEDNESDAY BEGINNERS FITNESS CLASS • REGISTRATION REQUIRED
Fitness class for all levels designed to build endurance while improving muscular strength. Class includes high intensity interval training (HIIT), light weight lifting and nutrition tips.

WEB DESIGN II • REGISTRATION REQUIRED
Take your web design skills to the next level by learning HTML5 and CSS3 web languages, layout strategies, color theory, responsive web design and site maintenance. This program will also cover UX feedback, testing, updates, domain management and hosting.

PYTHON CODING • REGISTRATION REQUIRED
Python is one of the most in-demand programming languages in the industry. It is favored by companies such as Instagram, YouTube and Spotify. Python’s diversity, adaptability and easy-to master basics set it apart from other programming languages, making it popular for use in web development. Python coding is recognized as a beginning language for those interested in STEM.

SATURDAY MORNING SLAY BOOT CAMP REGISTRATION REQUIRED
A boot camp style workout that combines traditional bodyweight exercise with interval and strength training. It will improve your cardiovascular endurance, increase lean muscle mass, and overall coordination and balance.

HOMEBUYER EDUCATION COURSE • REGISTRATION REQUIRED

MICHAEL JACKSON “THRILLER” DANCE PRESENTATION REGISTRATION REQUIRED
Interested in learning the steps to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”? All ages are invited to learn this classic dance sequence step-by-step by Ray Brooks of POP Entertainment! Participants will show off their dance moves in full costume at the Monster’s Bash on Thursday, Oct. 25.

MONSTER'S BASH & HAUNTED HOUSE
Put on your Halloween costume and join the fun and games! Activities will include a haunted house, carnival games, joy jumps, thriller performance and more. Refreshments and candy will be available for children.
