The College Station Fire Department can provide a speaker for fire safety, fall prevention, fire science, escape planning, or other relevant topics. Speaking engagements do not include a visit from a fire engine or other apparatus.
If you are requesting a speaker for a presentation at your facility, there must be a minimum of 10 attendees.
If you are requesting a speaker at one of our fire stations (Station 3, 5, or 6), the number of attendees is limited to 50.
- If you expect 1-25 attendees, one presentation will be offered, followed by an optional station tour.
- If you expect 26-50 attendees, the presentation and tour will occur simultaneously, with the group divided into two.
The length of the program depends on the amount of time you would like the speaker to present, your group size, and whether or not you request a station tour.
Speakers can be requested during the following times:
- 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
- 7-9 p.m. (limited availability)
It is recommended that speaker requests be submitted at least four weeks in advance, although requests can be made at any time.
Submitting a request for a speaker does not guarantee a speaker for your event.
After your request has been submitted, a member of the fire department will contact you to schedule a time for your presentation. Please allow at least five business days for processing your request, although it is likely that your request will be processed within 48 hours.
