The City expects to receive approximately $1.5 million in federal funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) each year. The planning process is complete for the next five-year strategic plan (called the Consolidated Plan) which identifies the future uses of the federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership Grant. Past Events

  • The 30-day Public Comment Period for the Consolidated Plan and Annual Action Plan began June 22, 2015, and ended July 21, 2015.
  • A Public Hearing was held at 6 pm, July 7, 2015, at the Lincoln Recreation Center, 1000 Eleanor, to present goals and objectives for the Consolidated Plan and Annual Action Plan, as well as to solicit public comments.
  • Community Services staff presented the 2015-2019 Consolidated Plan and 2015 Action Plan to the City Council at the Council Workshop on July 9, 2015, at 6 pm. The City Council approved the plan on July 23, 2015.
  • A Housing Market Survey was conducted in April 2015 to contribute to a housing analysis, soliciting feedback from realtors, property owners and managers, developers, housing agencies, lenders, and citizens.
  • A Public Hearing was held on March 10, 2015, at the Lincoln Center regarding the 2015-2019 Consolidated Plan and 2015 Action Plan.
  • A Human Service Agency Survey, targeted to staff of local service providers, was carried out in March 2015, along with two discussion groups.
  • A Community Needs Assessment Survey was available to all College Station residents from February to March 2015.
