Our goal is to provide exciting experiences through supervised, structured recreation in a safe and welcoming environment. FULL DAY CAMP
Full-day camps offer ages 6-15 a variety of daily activities, including outdoor recreation, performing and creative arts, character and team-building activities, local and out-of-town field trips and more! Lunch is provided, but campers are asked to bring a morning and afternoon snack. Each family needs to attend a parent orientation on April 26, May 3 or 10 at 6:30 p.m. at the Lincoln Recreation Center.

An array of Mini Camps is offered for a variety of ages. Qualified instructors are carefully selected to ensure your child has fun and learns the presented skills. Before the camper’s first registered camp, each family will be asked to pick-up a minicamp packet at Stephen C. Beachy Central Park during regular business hours beginning May 23.
A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE ART CAMP
Look at each other from different perspectives and study cubism and some of the finest artists. Students will learn to draw faces from a cubistic point of view. The class will create a mural of cubistic self-portraits to be displayed in our community. The mural will encourage the community to observe others from all perspectives. Our life lesson through art will be not to judge others by just one facet. There will be an unveiling ceremony for parents to attend.

CRAZY CRITTER CAMP
Looking for all critter fans and animal lovers! Join us as we encounter the science of living things. Explore the characteristics that classify each organism into categories of reptiles, amphibians, mammals, birds, and insects and learn the difference between vertebrates and invertebrates. Campers will also enjoy a safe and friendly animal encounters as they learn about the food chain and discover a treasure chest full of animal facts. You’ll even get to take home your own caterpillar and watch it metamorphose into a beautiful butterfly.

CREATING A WRITING LIFE
Writers will find their way first by understanding the importance of carrying a writer's notebook. They will experience everything from generating ideas to get the words flowing to discovering the elements of all good stories, including character, conflict, action, setting, and more. With the use of mentor texts, writers will get craft instruction and learn to bring techniques and skills of storytelling to the page, including dialogue, character development, narrative arc, writing scenes, and telling details. The session will end with an authors' celebration highlighting our favorite pieces of writing. You’ll need to bring a writer’s notebook.

MIME PRAISE DANCE
Learn the concepts and techniques of portraying a character through body movement (miming) while performing to gospel or inspirational music. Everybody loves mining, crafting and creating in MineCraft. This fun camp takes LEGO® Bricks, a background in STEM, children’s natural creativity, and some inspiration from the popular game to build on a whole week of learning fun. From Pigs, Mushrooms and Chickens to Mine Carts, Zombies, and Skeletons, we’ll create a Mining and Crafting world, the Bricks 4 Kidz Way!

OUTDOOR WILDERNESS SURVIVAL DAY CAMP
Join us for a week-long outdoor survival adventure day camp! Each day we will teach outdoor survival skills and play games to increase each camper’s awareness of the outdoor. Campers should bring a water bottle, snack and arrive with sunscreen on each day. All activities are conducted in a safe environment.
Day 1: Explore Indian and pioneer culture. Learn to find and build shelter, discover ways to keep from getting lost in the wilderness, and search for and identify edible and medicinal wild plants.
Day 2: Discover how to find and purify water for drinking, make a fire by friction, and how to track animals and make Indian hunting tools.
Day 3: Learn how to make rope, survival baskets, bows and arrows, and primitive animal traps and snares. Also, learn how to throw spears.
Day 4: Learn outdoor woodsmen skills to enable us to better observe wildlife. Practice our new fire building skills and how to light a campfire with only one match.
Day 5: Make soap and toothpaste out of native plants and learn the techniques needed for campfire cooking. The week ends with a final review and graduation when each camper receives their own Indian arrowhead.

Use LEGO® bricks to build amazing worlds of fun in a variety of exciting themes such as today's Pocket Brick Monsters camp. Kids love catching all their favorite Pokemon characters, and will enjoy building them out of LEGO® Bricks. Based on the popular card and video game, this creative camp will feature LEGO® mosaics, 3D LEGO® Builds, motorized LEGO projects, and more at Bricks 4 Kidz. This camp will end with a celebration sharing an anthology of poetry worthy of the exciting work accomplished as writers.

PORTRAIT OF A MASTERPIECE
Introduction to the composition of faces using visual cues and measurements to see how all faces are constructed in the same way. Students will study famous self-portraits and complete their own to take home, as well as create a class self-portrait mural to be displayed in our community. The mural will depict how each face may appear different, yet each is a masterpiece. Our life lesson through art will demonstrate that we are all created equally and perfectly and that to be our own masterpiece; we must be who we truly are.
