Whether you’re looking for outdoor adventure, interactive science, or active play, we have it all for ages 4-15! Our goal is to provide exciting experiences through supervised, structured recreation in a safe and welcoming environment. Qualified instructors are carefully selected to ensure that your child has a fun time and learns the skills presented. 

Register today at rectrac.cstx.gov or visit Stephen C. Beachy Central Park Office, located at 1000 Krenek Tap Road in College Station, Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. All camps require advance registration. No residency restrictions.

FULL DAY CAMP
Full-day camps offer ages 6-15 a variety of daily activities, including outdoor recreation, performing and creative arts, character and team-building activities, local and out-of-town field trips and more! Lunch is provided, but campers are asked to bring a morning and afternoon snack. Please register in-person at the Lincoln Recreation Center during normal business hours. Each family needs to attend a parent orientation on April 25 or May 9 at 6:30 p.m.

MINI CAMPS (in alphabetical order
An array of Mini Camps is offered for a variety of ages. Qualified instructors are carefully selected to ensure your child has fun and learns the presented skills. Before the camper’s first registered camp, each family will be asked to pick-up a mini camp packet at Stephen C. Beachy Central Park during regular business hours.

ANIMATION ACADEMY
Lights, camera, action! Create a drama, comedy, or tragedy, complete with music, special effects, and amazing characters. Students learn the basic structure of a well-composed story and create a digital animation the Bricks 4 Kidz way. When the movie is complete, campers will impress friends and family with a screening party on the last day of camp. All campers get a digital copy of their movie at the end of the week. Campers need to bring a snack and drink.

ARTISTIC WRITING FOR YOUTH
Have you ever heard a story and wanted to know more about it? Do you have your own ideas for a story? Do you like adventure, fantasy, superheroes, or ice cream? Join us as we explore new adventures and use imagination to expand our worlds.

BASKETBALL/AGILITY CAMP
Basketball speed, agility, strength and endurance training with an individual-focused, goal-oriented program that develops and enhances physical and mental performance. Participants will be provided a positive environment by Team Elite Sports Performance Training that enables participants to become better athletes and individuals.

BAT LEAGUE
Enter the dark city where a dangerous jokester and other evil villains wreak havoc. Thankfully, a bat hero comes out each night to fight against these evil-doers! The good guys will ride into action as campers build motorized models to save the day. Campers will use their imaginations, LEGO brick building skills and crime-fighting passion in this thrilling camp of bat heroes and villains. Campers need to bring a snack and drink.

BRICKAPALOOZA
In our Brickapalooza camp, we have taken our favorite Bricks 4 Kidz LEGO models and summer themes and combined them into our first week of camp. The fun camp takes a whole lot of LEGO bricks, a background in STEM, and children’s natural creativity to build on a week of learning fun. It will be a week packed with creativity, learning, fun and a great way to try out themes for later in the summer. Campers need to bring a snack and drink.

BRICK CITY: FIRE AND RESCUE
When danger and trouble go down in Bricksville, it’s up to the fire chief and police chief to lead the way to safety. Whether it’s burning buildings or bank robbers, we’ll use LEGO motors, axles, gears and lots of other special pieces, along with STEM concepts, to learn about and build lots of awesome safety equipment and emergency vehicles that move and groove. Campers need to bring a snack and drink.

CHEER CAMP
Show us your spirit and join us for a basic introduction to cheerleading basics. We'll explore jumps, arm motions, basic tumbling, cheers, and learn brief dance routines.

CRAZY CRITTER CAMP
We’re looking for critter fans and animal lovers! Join us as we classify vertebrates versus invertebrates, dissect owl pellets, and have special visits ranging from mammals to reptiles. All animals are safe to handle. As we explore crazy critters, we will learn all about creatures from a variety of habitats, ranging from oceans to deserts to tropical rainforests. Campers will take home a caterpillar destined to become a Painted Lady butterfly!

DESIGN & BUILD COMPUTER GAMES
Have you always wanted to create your own game? Learn how to make games on the PC and Xbox using a simple visual programming language. No prior programming or design experience needed. Hands-on teaching from a web designer with more than 15 years of experience. You can expect three hours a day of instruction with plenty of time for breaks and creative techtivities. Finish the week with your very own app.

DRAMA KIDS MYSTERY PLAYHOUSE I
It’s no mystery kids love our camps. Campers will write, solve, and act in great plays – created, directed, and performed entirely by THEM! Intrigue and investigation are necessities for any mystery. Who? What? Where? When? Why? Campers will hone their observation and detection skills when they are placed in odd situations and must solve the mystery as they perform in scenes with fellow campers. Campers will bring the house down during their Playhouse presentation by performing a play their team creates. Want to know how the show ends? So do we, but it's a mystery.

Campers will show off their creativity and deliver an originally scripted, self-directed performance in the fair days of maidens, knights, and wizards. Just who is Sir Dance-a-lot anyway? Campers will explore all aspects of theater from acting to directing, set design and more. Campers will bring the house down during their Playhouse presentation, performing a play their team creates. EMMET’S WORLD
Inspired by elements of “The LEGO Movie,” in this Bricks 4 Kidz camp everything is awesome! Each day will include loads of building and motorized creations, all using LEGO bricks that are sure to make you feel like you are part of Emmet’s world. Get ready to unlock the master builder in you! Campers need to bring a snack and drink.

FAIRY TALE CAMP
Classic fairy tales and new ones have warmed our hearts. This camp will include character visits ranging from classic fairy tales such as “Peter Pan” to modern fairy tale characters, such as Elsa and Anna from “Frozen.” In essence, we will highlight the exciting elements from various popular fairy tales in a safe yet exciting environment. Can Red Riding Hood make it through the forest with a big, bad wolf?  Can we blow down the three little pigs’ houses? Will animals help our prince/princess defeat evil? This camp isn’t just for girls. We need princes and princesses, heroes and villains!

GAMER’S DELIGHT

GIRL’S CLUB
Grab your friends and come hang out with us for a week of crafting and creating with LEGO bricks. We will build and explore the many different princess and heroine worlds. This week is all about girls! Campers need to bring a snack and drink.

HARRY POTTER MAGIC – CALLING ALL MUGGLES
Calling all wizards, witches, and muggles! Campers who have previously attended our Hogwarts camp will enjoy lots of new activities blended in with year one witchcraft for new campers. Join us for an adventure of the most magical type. Apprentices will be sorted into houses, select their magic wands, make potions, learn how to duel, play a game of Quidditch, and meet magical animals. A great escape into the magical world of Harry Potter based on the principles of science. Come dressed as your favorite character or turn into a wizard when you get to camp. Witches/wizards who have previously attended our Hogwarts camp will enjoy lots of new activities blended in with Year one witchcraft for new campers.

JEDI BRICK ACADEMY
Whether you’re into rogue spaceships, droids with an attitude, or strange looking aliens, we’ll have lots to build in a Jedi Brick Academy with this LEGO-filled rogue adventure. Inspired by your favorite scenes from Star Wars movies, we’ll learn about the real science behind the fiction, develop our master builder (and master Jedi) skills, make new friends, and of course, try to save the galaxy. JURASSIC DINO-MITE

JUST THE BASICS DANCE WORKSHOP
Are you a beginner dancer and would you like to learn basic ballet and jazz steps? Participants will have the chance to learn simple dance techniques and combinations. At the end of the week, the group will perform a routine. The instructor is a Texas A&M student minoring in dance and is a member of the dance ensemble Fade to Black.

JUNIOR FIREFIGHTER CAMP
Become a junior firefighter! Learn about firefighting equipment, escape planning, fire science, fire prevention, and physical fitness. Firefighters are also paramedics, so students will learn about CPR, first aid, and burn prevention. Junior Firefighter Camp teaches children about teamwork in a fun, challenging environment. Taught by College Station firefighters, the camp will have kids excited to make their community a safer place.

MOVIE MASH UP
Join us for a wild week of LEGO building fun. Can’t decide on a theme? Then this is the camp for you! NINJA BRICK GO!
Accept the Brick Ninja master builder challenge! Show off your LEGO brick building skills at this ninja-themed camp. OUTDOOR WILDERNESS SURVIVAL CAMP FOR KIDS
Join us for a week-long outdoor survival adventure day camp. Each day we will teach outdoor survival skills and play games to increase each camper’s awareness of the outdoors. Campers should bring a water bottle and snack and arrive with sunscreen each day. All activities are conducted in a safe environment.

Day 1: Explore Indian and pioneer culture. Learn to find and build shelter, discover ways to keep from getting lost in the wilderness, and search for and identify edible and medicinal wild plants.
Day 2: Discover how to find and purify water for drinking, make a fire by friction, and how to track animals and make Indian hunting tools.
Day 3: Learn how to make rope, survival baskets, bows and arrows, and primitive animal traps and snares. Also, learn how to throw spears. 
Day 4: Learn outdoor woodsmen skills to enable us to better observe wildlife. Practice our new fire building skills and how to light a campfire with only one match.
Day 5: Make soap and toothpaste out of native plants and learn the techniques needed for campfire cooking. The week ends with a final review and graduation when each camper receives an Indian arrowhead.

SIMPLE BOTS AND ROBOTICS
Make it move is the name of the game in this exciting camp. Design and build your LEGO creations in this class aimed at controlling your motorized contraptions. We will use remote controls and start learning how to program a bot to do tasks on its own. Campers need to bring a snack and drink.

SIZZLIN’ SCIENCE
Fourth of July fireworks are the reason to delve into sizzling science. Campers will investigate the various disciplines of the safe yet explosive sciences of chemistry and physics. We will erupt volcanoes, test the laws of physics, and more.

SLUMBER PARTY
Grab your favorite pair of PJs and join us in cooking your favorite breakfast foods. After all, breakfast is the most important meal of the day!

SPY KIDS LEGO ADVENTURE
Ready for “Despicable Me 3?” Join us as we have a blast engaging in our spy-themed LEGO camp. We will explore forensic science and build spy cars out of LEGOS to race down our track. Campers will bring home numerous Lego creations as well as special spy equipment.

STORYLAND
Our young campers will explore new stories each day and bring those favorite childhood stories to life! Music and songs, arts and crafts, games and activities, dance and creative movement, mini scenes and improv are some of the fun things your kids will do. TEA TIME
How about a tea party with a fun, little twist? Instead of sampling the pastries and sipping tea for two, we'll make desserts and master the art of decorating our homemade and delightfully delicious pastry snacks. Feeling creative? TEEN WILDERNESS SURVIVAL SKILLS CAMP
Take your outdoor skills to the next level. Students will learn the essentials of primitive wilderness survival with hands-on outdoor activities, including shelter making, fire making, edible, medicinal and utilitarian wild plants, locating and purifying water, spears and spear throwing (atlatl), Indian bows and arrows, wood burning bowls and spoons, animal tracking, knife safety, and nature study. Students will work on projects throughout the week and leave camp with a variety of natural handmade items; bow drill and hand drill kit for fire-making, digging tools, Indian style bow with arrows and much more.

THE ARTS COUNCIL FINE ARTS CAMP FOR KIDS
Campers will experiment with painting, drawing, collage, and more. Former Arts Council artists in residence will teach students about world-renowned artists and help them create projects inspired by their work. This is the perfect camp for budding visual artists.

World of Amusement camp takes you on a thrilling adventure in building amusement park-themed models.
