Whether you’re looking for outdoor adventure, interactive science, or active play, we have it all for ages 4-15! Our goal is to provide exciting experiences through supervised, structured recreation in a safe and welcoming environment. Qualified instructors are carefully selected to ensure that your child has a fun time and learns the skills presented. 

Register today at rectrac.cstx.gov or visit Stephen C. Beachy Central Park Office, located at 1000 Krenek Tap Road in College Station, Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. All camps require advance registration. No residency restrictions.

MINI CAMPS (in alphabetical order
An array of Mini Camps is offered for a variety of ages. Qualified instructors are carefully selected to ensure your child has fun and learns the presented skills. Before the camper’s first registered camp, each family will be asked to pick-up a mini camp packet at Stephen C. Beachy Central Park during regular business hours.

ANIMATION ACADEMY
Lights, camera, action! Create a drama, comedy, or tragedy, complete with music, special effects, and amazing characters. Students learn the basic structure of a well-composed story and create a digital animation the Bricks 4 Kidz way. When the movie is complete, campers will impress friends and family with a screening party on the last day of camp. All campers get a digital copy of their movie at the end of the week. Campers need to bring a snack and drink.

BRICK CITY: FIRE AND RESCUE
When danger and trouble go down in Bricksville, it’s up to the fire chief and police chief to lead the way to safety. Whether it’s burning buildings or bank robbers, we’ll use LEGO motors, axles, gears and lots of other special pieces, along with STEM concepts, to learn about and build lots of awesome safety equipment and emergency vehicles that move and groove. Campers need to bring a snack and drink.

CHEER CAMP
Show us your spirit and join us for a basic introduction to cheerleading basics. We'll explore jumps, arm motions, basic tumbling, cheers, and learn brief dance routines.

DRAMA KIDS MYSTERY PLAYHOUSE I
It’s no mystery kids love our camps. Campers will write, solve, and act in great plays – created, directed, and performed entirely by THEM! Intrigue and investigation are necessities for any mystery. Who? What? Where? When? Why? Campers will hone their observation and detection skills when they are placed in odd situations and must solve the mystery as they perform in scenes with fellow campers. Campers will bring the house down during their Playhouse presentation by performing a play their team creates. Want to know how the show ends? So do we, but it's a mystery.

DRAMA KIDS PLAYHOUSE II
Campers will show off their creativity and deliver an originally scripted, self-directed performance in the fair days of maidens, knights, and wizards. Just who is Sir Dance-a-lot anyway? Campers will explore all aspects of theater from acting to directing, set design and more. Campers will bring the house down during their Playhouse presentation, performing a play their team creates. FAIRY TALE CAMP
Classic fairy tales and new ones have warmed our hearts. This camp will include character visits ranging from classic fairy tales such as “Peter Pan” to modern fairy tale characters, such as Elsa and Anna from “Frozen.” In essence, we will highlight the exciting elements from various popular fairy tales in a safe yet exciting environment. Can Red Riding Hood make it through the forest with a big, bad wolf?  Can we blow down the three little pigs’ houses? Will animals help our prince/princess defeat evil? This camp isn’t just for girls. We need princes and princesses, heroes and villains!

FUN PLATE
What do ants on a log, fruit pizza, and chocolate dipped bananas have in common? They are fun, easy, and healthy snacks that are so easy to make you can do them at home. Come learn how to turn your favorite desserts into healthy snacks at Fun Plate.

GIRL’S CLUB
Grab your friends and come hang out with us for a week of crafting and creating with LEGO bricks. We will build and explore the many different princess and heroine worlds. This week is all about girls! Campers need to bring a snack and drink.

JEDI BRICK ACADEMY
Whether you’re into rogue spaceships, droids with an attitude, or strange looking aliens, we’ll have lots to build in a Jedi Brick Academy with this LEGO-filled rogue adventure. Inspired by your favorite scenes from Star Wars movies, we’ll learn about the real science behind the fiction, develop our master builder (and master Jedi) skills, make new friends, and of course, try to save the galaxy. Campers need to bring a snack and drink.

JUST THE BASICS DANCE WORKSHOP
Are you a beginner dancer and would you like to learn basic ballet and jazz steps? Participants will have the chance to learn simple dance techniques and combinations. At the end of the week, the group will perform a routine. The instructor is a Texas A&M student minoring in dance and is a member of the dance ensemble Fade to Black.

MINERS & CRAFTERS: MINING THE DEPTHS
Campers will experience the game of Minecraft by building models of the elements from the game using LEGOs. Taking inspiration from the popular game to build on a whole week of learning fun, we will build Mooshrooms, Bow and Arrow, Pickaxes, Skeletons and Zombies! Have you stopped a Zombie today? Campers need to bring a snack and drink.

MINDSTORMS CHALLENGE ROBOTICS
Experience the cutting edge of technology with the introduction of LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 robotics. Students will be captivated as they incorporate the newest generation of motors, sensors, and software by programming their commands directly into the intelligent brick. Campers need to bring a snack and drink.

MOVIE MASH UP
Join us for a wild week of LEGO building fun. Can’t decide on a theme? Then this is the camp for you! Inspired from our favorite movie blockbusters, we’ll build our favorite characters such as Minions, Angry Birds, Marvel and DC Heroes and more. We’ll explore a different movie each day. Campers need to bring a snack and drink.

NINJA BRICK GO!
Accept the Brick Ninja master builder challenge! Show off your LEGO brick building skills at this ninja-themed camp. Based on the upcoming “Lego Ninjago Lego Movie,” we will build many of the different characters and weapons. Is your spinjitzu strong enough? Campers need to bring a snack and drink.

OUTDOOR WILDERNESS SURVIVAL CAMP FOR KIDS
Join us for a week-long outdoor survival adventure day camp. Each day we will teach outdoor survival skills and play games to increase each camper’s awareness of the outdoors. Campers should bring a water bottle and snack and arrive with sunscreen each day. All activities are conducted in a safe environment.

Day 1: Explore Indian and pioneer culture. Learn to find and build shelter, discover ways to keep from getting lost in the wilderness, and search for and identify edible and medicinal wild plants.
Day 2: Discover how to find and purify water for drinking, make a fire by friction, and how to track animals and make Indian hunting tools.
Day 3: Learn how to make rope, survival baskets, bows and arrows, and primitive animal traps and snares. Also, learn how to throw spears. 
Day 4: Learn outdoor woodsmen skills to enable us to better observe wildlife. Practice our new fire building skills and how to light a campfire with only one match.
Day 5: Make soap and toothpaste out of native plants and learn the techniques needed for campfire cooking. The week ends with a final review and graduation when each camper receives an Indian arrowhead.

SIZZLIN’ SCIENCE
Fourth of July fireworks are the reason to delve into sizzling science. Campers will investigate the various disciplines of the safe yet explosive sciences of chemistry and physics. We will erupt volcanoes, test the laws of physics, and more.

SLUMBER PARTY
Grab your favorite pair of PJs and join us in cooking your favorite breakfast foods. After all, breakfast is the most important meal of the day!

STORYLAND
Our young campers will explore new stories each day and bring those favorite childhood stories to life! Music and songs, arts and crafts, games and activities, dance and creative movement, mini scenes and improv are some of the fun things your kids will do. Unleash your child’s creative energy and introduce them to the wonderful world of dramatic fun as only Drama Kids can deliver.

SUPERHEROES & SUPER VILLAINS
Calling superheroes and supervillains! Do you have what it takes to be a superhero? Let’s engage in a comic book universe where superheroes and supervillains battle for the fate of the world! Start your life as a costumed adventurer. We will develop our superpowers with the help of science and safely train to be an equipped superhero or supervillain.

TEA TIME
How about a tea party with a fun, little twist? Instead of sampling the pastries and sipping tea for two, we'll make desserts and master the art of decorating our homemade and delightfully delicious pastry snacks. Feeling creative? Great, because we brew our own teas, too. Treat yourself to a little tea time with us!

THE ARTS COUNCIL FINE ARTS CAMP FOR KIDS
Campers will experiment with painting, drawing, collage, and more. Former Arts Council artists in residence will teach students about world-renowned artists and help them create projects inspired by their work. This is the perfect camp for budding visual artists.

TRAVELING COOKS
This camp is all about discovery. Why not explore different cultures through their cuisines? We'll be sure to visit a different country every day to spice things up!
