Note: The City of College Station has adopted the 2018 International Codes and the 2017 National Electrical Code (NEC) effective April 1, 2019.
We all need building codes - whether in our homes, offices, schools, stores or places of entertainment. We rely on the safety of structures that surround us in our everyday living. The public need for protection from disaster due to fire, structural collapse and general deterioration underscores the need for building codes and their administration.
The City of College Station has adopted the family of International Building Codes to regulate construction. You can view a copy of these codes in our office. We have adopted the following which came into effect on January 1, 2016.
