The games are sponsored by The Hershey Company and co-hosted locally by parks and recreation departments from the cities of Bryan and College Station. The goal is to encourage physical fitness among youth and emphasize participation and sportsmanship.

Kids from across the Brazos Valley can sign-up at no cost in up to three of the following events: 50-meter dash, 100-meter dash, 200-meter dash, 400-meter dash, 4x100-meter relay, standing long jump and softball throw.

- Relay teams must be formed prior to the games.
- Age categories are as followed: 9-10, 11-12 and 13-14.
- Age is determined by how old the participant will be on Dec. 31, 2014.

Local winners will advance to the state final in Austin. Winners at that level may become eligible for competition at the North American Final held in Hershey, Penn.

There is no cost to participate, and you must register in person (a certified birth certificate is required) at either the Bryan Parks & Recreation Office or at Stephen C. Beachy Central Park. For more information, email glogan@cstx.gov or call 979.764.3486.
